Maybe* is “at the bleeding edge of the retail real estate world.”

Bisnow recently launched a list of 34 Companies Reshaping Retail Real Estate. Maybe* was delighted to be included in this list.

According to the article by Mike Phillips:

“Evolution of retail and the physical space it occupies is happening at hyper speed because of the impact of technology.

Within this maelstrom, there are hundreds of people and companies changing the way physical retail works, doing innovative, creative and (importantly) profitable work. From developers and owners to retailers to tech companies, they are shaping the retail experience of the future.”

Maybe* was recognised for our work with shopping centres and towns, helping landlords, BID’s, councils and other invested parties connect with customers directly and join in the conversations happening around their locations.

If you are going to try to engage with a local community to get them to come to your shopping centre, it helps to know what they think about it.

Maybe* is a platform founded by Polly Barnfield, OBE that allows asset owners or local authorities to monitor what people are saying about a scheme or local area online, and engage with them directly using the most appropriate social media channels. It enables retailers and landlords to promote a scheme and get local feedback and input.

“Being included in this list is both an honour and an important proof point that offline shopping isn’t dead. We simply need to approach it in a different way.

Maybe* allows retailers and locations to use social media to drive footfall and sales in store. Rather than seeing social media as destroying offline shopping, we’re helping to show that it can drive offline sales.”
