The social media journey of Campden Yurts

Campden Yurts is a family-run glamping site that offers customers a unique stay in a yurt. The business ventured into social media in 2016 after taking a course on how to get started on Facebook. Before that, Campden Yurts rarely used social media to promote the business. 

Reaching a bigger audience

One of the benefits of the business actively using Facebook and Instagram is being able to reach a more diverse audience for free. They enjoy building relationships with those who comment on posts by starting a conversation and engaging with the online community. 

Campden Yurts tailors content to what their audience engages with most. For example, some American followers love seeing the animals on the camping site, so they feature these a lot on Instagram stories. 

The business gets great feedback from locals and guests about their social channels but would like to work on strategy and planning content in advance.

Tapping into influencers and using giveaways

Tapping into using influencers, Campden Yurts has also arranged collaborations with influencers within glamping, but they feel they would benefit from it more if it was promoted more on social channels. 

One of the biggest highlights since being on Facebook has been running giveaways. They generate a huge amount of interest and new people find the business and start engaging with content and even go on to book stays.
