Q. How do you measure your social media success?
Vicky feels that just because their business is 'serious' it doesn’t mean that their social media has to be, so she posts funny quotes, ran a little 100th birthday quiz on Instagram and has even launched a TikTok account to help lift peoples' spirits.
The team runs virtual networking sessions for businesses in the local area to meet online and collaborate and they also work with other local businesses to give away prizes on social media.
Success is measured by engagement on their own content, but also by the amount of other businesses they are able to connect and engage with locally.
Q. What has been your social media highlight?
HB Accountants is celebrating its 100th year of helping businesses look after their finances and has helped generations of families grow their businesses through their personalised approach and community support initiatives.
During the various lockdowns they have been working on helping their clients work together, giving free support and advice to businesses in need, taking on trainees and supporting charities in Hoddesdon where they can. The business has used social media to find new ways of delivering the services they have been known for for a century. And has even embraced TikTok.
Q. What would you most like to improve about your social media and what do you think your biggest challenges are?
During the pandemic the team at HB Accountants has seen a lot of change on their local high street. Whilst they may not be able to help every single independent business, they have focused their efforts on supporting the businesses of Hoddesdon through social media.
Knowing where to start, and doing whatever small part you can will help you overcome the challenges that can feel the most enormous.
