Localism on steroids: webinar series

The “Localism on Steroids” Webinar series explores the ways in which councils, placemakers, membership organisations, retailers and consumers can support local businesses during the peak Christmas trading period and beyond.

It's time for a new chapter. So on Wednesday, September 22nd at 11 am this series offers a chance to explore what is working well and what each of us can do to collaborate and help local businesses have a fantastic festive period.

The  “Against all Odds” report published in July 2021 highlights the challenges faced by many local independent businesses:

  • The struggle to survive the pandemic has taken its toll on the mental health of business owners – and many are at breaking point
  • Despite unprecedented financial challenges, independent businesses have prioritized supporting local communities and maintaining the social fabric
  • Independent businesses offer placemakers an opportunity to create a unique experience that cannot be replicated and that they are stronger as a collective.

The opportunity for local communities has never been bigger but there are challenges. And that is what; Localism on Steroids is all about. How can we all collectively invite customers to explore and shop locally,  hold their attention and increase their spend with local businesses?

Join us for case studies, interviews, exciting demos, and more.  It's 30 minutes of action that can make a difference to so many independent businesses. Please join us.
