Instagram are encouraging us to ‘Take a Break’

Instagram’s CEO, Adam Mosseri, announced that the platform has  started testing a new feature called “Take a Break”. This opt-in control will enable us to receive break reminders in-app after a duration of our choosing, with expert-backed tips on what you can do during the break.

Facebook announce a shake up to ads targeting

Facebook is taking more steps to align with evolving privacy regulations by removing a swathe of detailed ads targeting options that relate to potentially problematic issues and causes.

Supporting smaller creators by making dislikes private

YouTube has announced that it’s making a change to the way dislikes are displayed on videos, with the dislike count to be made private, in order to limit misuse of the option.

The change comes as a result of attacks on users, where the dislike option has been used to harm a video’s performance.

Reels text to speech is coming!

That’s right, TikTok’s super popular text-to-speech feature is now coming to Instagram Reels, with the option to choose from two different automated voices.

This new feature is perfect for brands and creators who want to do more creative storytelling on the platform, and (good news!) it’s really easy to do.
