Facebook has launched Reels for all users in the US, bringing its short-form video competitor to many more people. Facebook’s also expanding its test of recommending Instagram Reels on Facebook, providing more Reels content to lure more people into the option. More here.

Gossip Girl gives social media a leading role

Gossip Girl is set to make a comeback with a new cast and a refresh for the 2020's.

Mashable says "making a reboot is challenging, especially so when characters of the original are as iconic and generation-defining as those in the original Gossip Girl. Instead of a blog, the titular Gossip Girl has an Instagram account run by a gang of frustrated millennial teachers. The queen bee of the Upper East Side private school Constance-Billard, Julien Calloway, is an influencer". 

YouTube bans all anti-vax videos

The Independent reports "YouTube is to ban all anti-vax videos and other misinformation about vaccines, it has announced. The step is the latest to be taken by the video service as it struggles to decide its policy on misinformation amid the coronavirus pandemic".
