Christmas hats off to Burger King as they invite Tier 3 indie restaurants to use their Instagram feed

Take a bow Burger King. As parts of the UK prepare to be thrust into Tier 3 forcing restaurants and cafes to close, the fast food giant has offered up its Instagram feed to help promote the affected independent eateries.  Now that's Christmas spirit at its best.

Instagram Reels adds shopping tags 

Instagram's found another way to add pressure to TikTok, this time by adding new shopping tags to Reels.

The new shopping tags option enables creators to add product listings to their Instagram Reels clips. Viewers will then be able to tap on the 'View Product' prompt at the bottom to see the listed items, then tap through to make a purchase.

Twitter announces new integration to share tweets to Snapchat

Twitter has announced that you can now share tweets directly to Snapchat. With the same feature being available for Instagram Stories soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

Instagram Reels to be shareable to Facebook’s News Feed

Facebook is apparently considering enabling Instagram users who are posting Reels to also post those Reels clips to Facebook, with the potential of being shown in both the News Feed and in Facebook Watch.

Reggie Yates takes to TikTok to help unearth young creatives

Award winning British writer, director, broadcaster and documentary maker Reggie Yates, has launched the #PassTheMic ? challenge on TikTok, bringing his initiative to support the next generation of creative talent to the platform. 

All entries will be judged by Reggie himself, with one winner securing a one-on one-mentoring session with Reggie and a two-week work experience at TikTok.

Google Maps now lets you create Street View photos with no special equipment required

Android users with ARCore-compatible devices can now capture imagery and publish it to Google Street View in certain areas. 

Such user generated content will fill the gaps where Google Street View has yet to reach. Google will also use the imagery to update Google Maps with information like new businesses or publicly posted open hours.
