Snapchat shows follower counts

Snapchat is giving creators the option to make subscriber counts visible on their public profiles. 

This feature that has long been something of a given on competing social platforms, is the latest in a series of creator-focused updates unveiled by Snapchat in recent months.

YouTube’s mobile app gets new gestures

YouTube is updating its mobile apps with a few new features that should make viewing and controlling videos a bit easier, with new gestures, updated player controls and additional features.

The biggest update is a new gesture to enable or disable full-screen video.

Facebook to support black-owned businesses

Earlier this month Facebook announced the #BuyBlack Friday campaign in the US – to harness the energy of the biggest physical retail day of the year, to support and celebrate Black-owned businesses and their communities.
