Facebook Announces a Range of New Audio Tools, Including Audio Rooms

Facebook has announced a range of new audio social options to tap into the Clubhouse-led trend. Given Facebook's massive reach it could be a threat to Clubhouse’s growth.

How the Clubhouse phenomenon could be used as a marketing strategy

Clubhouse is a social audio chat app where users have the ability to tune into interviews, conversations, and discussions between people on various topics. Think of the platform as a podcast, or a streaming service like Twitch, only the content is live audio. Once the discussion has finished, the content is gone and there are no recordings available afterward.

Despite launching in May 2020, by the end of the year Clubhouse had over 600,000 registered users, despite a lack of presence on Android devices and online.

Instagram is working on making it easier to add links to Stories

Instagram is working on new ways to add links to Stories.  The link feature will likely only be available to those with 10k followers or over but here’s hoping they'll roll it out to every account over time.

Reddit launches its Clubhouse-like feature Reddit Talk

Based on Reddit’s description and images shared by the company, Reddit Talk appears to look a lot like Clubhouse, Twitter Spaces, and other social audio products. Talks will be “live” within subreddits, according to Reddit.
