TikTok usage time surges past Facebook in the UK

TikTok has overtaken Facebook in terms of how much time people spend on the platform. New reports state that TikTok users in the UK have almost doubled the time they spent using the app last year, from an average of 10.8 hours a month among Android users in 2019 to 19.6 in 2020. This is according to research from mobile data and analytics company App Annie’s state of mobile report.

Facebook rolls out an 'Account Quality' dashboard

Facebook has rolled out an updated 'Account Quality' dashboard within Business Manager.  It is designed to help Page Admins and support staff keep track of any suspended ads or impacted posts as a result of rule violations or other enforcement actions, and to better explain the reasoning for each. Good news for Facebook social media managers, agencies and advertisers.

Pinterest tests new stories panel at the top of user feeds

As we all fall in love with the Story format across Facebook, LinkedIn and even Twitter now . . .  it's no surprise that Pinterest is following suit. The Story feature is rolling out slowly with a notable difference being that Story Pins live within a Pin and don't disappear after 24 hours.

TikTok is testing a new Q&A Feature

TikTok is testing a new video Q&A feature that allows creators to respond to their audience’s questions more directly with either text or video answers. The feature works across both video and livestreams (TikTok LIVE), but is currently only available to select creators who have opted into the test.
