How Harrogate is helping businesses re-open safely and engage their customers digitally

Maybe* has launched in Harrogate with great success. In only one week, the town signed up 24 of its local retailers to the program and those businesses can now also access the Maybe* platform for social media help and training. Harrogate Borough Council has shared what's working for them, so more of you can do the same and recruit businesses to the Local Rewards scheme in your place.

This is how they invited their retailers on their website and via social media"

"To support local businesses, we are working with Maybe* - an online platform that helps businesses improve the results they achieve through social media.
The platform is packed full with social media tools and support to help businesses across the Harrogate district accelerate their use of social media, collaborate and increase customer engagement, footfall and sales.

Maybe* has already helped thousands of businesses and now any business registered within the Harrogate district is eligible for a free Maybe* account and will have access to a suite of training, tools and expert support".

Building a landing page

Harrogate has made sure information about Maybe* can be found on its  Borough Council website. Businesses can easily find out about the support the Council is able to offer through Maybe*.

Getting the press involved

To get the word out, Harrogate Borough Council has sent out press releases and emails to all their businesses and contacts.

Getting social

As Maybe* and the Local Rewards scheme are all about making social media work for local businesses, Harrogate Borough Council is leading by example. They are using social media to share the news about the support businesses can expect and inviting local businesses to the weekly Maybe* webinar to find out more.
