Supporting local businesses to get more from social media

Following the success of our Independents Day social media campaign, we are launching a monthly competition to encourage social media engagement between shoppers and local businesses.

Every month shoppers can win £50 when they support local businesses. All you have to do is follow the instructions on social media posts across Facebook and Instagram.

You can enter as many times as you like. It's really easy to enter just follow the instructions below.

The prize draw runs every month from the 1st day to the last calendar day. Winners will be notified by DM on Instagram or Facebook Messenger on or before the 7th of the following month.

Why we are doing this

Everything we do is about helping businesses get more from social media. In particular, we work with Local Authorities across the UK to provide local business support. Our recently published research into how local businesses use social media highlights the urgent need to do more.

The UK Social Media Review reveals that just 19% of local business post on social media despite 79.1% of consumers spending over 7hrs a week using social media.

This competition has been requested by local businesses across the UK  who want an easy way to follow in the social media footsteps of others. The campaign is designed to increase engagement between shoppers and local businesses and we plan to take it national as part of our ongoing support package for independent and local businesses.
